What to do in the East Bay this month


School may be back in session but we’ve still got 3 weeks of summer! If you, your family and friends are wondering how to enjoy the remainder of your bay area summer, look no further. Here are some upcoming events around the Bay this month!

45th Annual Solano Avenue Stroll


WHEN: Sunday, September 8, from 10 am to 5 pm

WHERE: 1563 Solano Ave, Berkeley, CA 94707

WHAT: Along with the Solano Avenue Association, twin cities Albany and Berkeley are hosting the East Bay’s largest street festival for the 45th year in a row! See the parade and enjoy over 500 vendors! They even offer free bicycle “valet parking” and a free shuttle from AC Transit or BART.


Rockridge Out & About Festival


WHEN: Sunday, September 15, from 12 to 6 pm

WHERE: 8-block stretch of College Avenue from Claremont to Lawton in Oakland.

WHAT: Presented by the Rockridge District Association, this street fair celebrates what makes Rockridge a great place to live, work, shop, and play. Enjoy food, beer, wine, music, and kids’ activities.


Oakland’s “Eat Real” Street Food Festival

WHEN: Saturday, September 21 from 11 am to 10 pm & Sunday, September 22, from 11 am to 6 pm

WHERE: Jack London Square in Oakland

WHAT: Don’t just enjoy all the delicious food at this street-food-festival-slash-block-party — learn where the food comes from, who grows and makes it, and how they make it. Eat Real brings farmers, food producers and eaters together to educate and indulge.
